Browns, Bengals Battle For AFC North Lead

(Cincinnati, OH) -- The battle for Ohio has key AFC North implications as the Cleveland Browns visit the Cincinnati Bengals on "Thursday Night Football" at Paul Brown Stadium. Cincinnati leads the division at 5-2-and-1, with Pittsburgh at 6-and-3 and Cleveland at 5-3.
The Browns have won four of their last five games, but are riding a 17-game road losing streak within the division. The Bengals have won two straight over Baltimore and Jacksonville since a three-game winless stretch. This is the third straight home game for Cincinnati, which is 13-0-1 in its last 14 regular-season games at home.
Bears Injury Report
(Lake Forest, IL) -- The Bears are back to work preparing for their Week 10 matchup with the Packers. Chicago had guard Eben Britton and linebacker Darryl Sharpton out of practice on Wednesday with an illness and a hamstring injury, respectively.
Linebacker Lance Briggs was a full participant at practice on Wednesday for the Bears. He's missed the last three games with a rib injury. He told the media at Halas Hall that this could be the last time he takes a trip to Lambeau to face the Packers and that this might be his final season in the NFL.
Governor Nixon Working To Keep Rams In St. Louis
(St. Louis, MO) -- Governor Jay Nixon is taking steps to try and keep the Rams in St. Louis. He has enlisted former Anheuser-Busch executive David Peacock and attorney Robert Blitz to examine options over the next two months. Nixon calls the team's presence "a matter of civic and state pride."
The Rams are getting set for a duel in the desert this weekend. They hit the practice field again today in preparation for Sunday's game against the first-place Cardinals in Arizona. The Rams are 3-5 after a 13-10 win at San Francisco. The Cardinals lead the NFC West at 7-1.
