Effingham High School senior Michael Carie set one single-season record during the recently-concluded football season, and might have tied another.
Carie, who kicked for EHS the past two seasons, set a record with 38 points after touchdowns, snapping the record of 34 PATs set by Ben Cisna in 2005.
Carie also kicked four field goals during the past season. We're doublechecking whether that ties a record set by Mike DePoister back in 1979, or whether five is the actual record. We'll let you know.
