Rams Sink 49ers, Bears Have Bye Week

(San Francisco, CA) -- Colin Kaepernick fumbled at the goal line with two seconds left as the Rams went on to beat the 49ers 13-10 from Levi's Stadium. The St. Louis defense caused two turnovers and sacked Kaepernick eight times. Austin Davis tossed for 105 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions for St. Louis, which improved to 3-5. Kenny Britt had the touchdown reception. Kaepernick threw for 237 yards with a touchdown in defeat. Anquan Boldin had six catches for 93 yards and a score for San Francisco, which dipped to 4-4.


Browns Drop Buccaneers

(Cleveland, OH) -- Brian Hoyer found Taylor Gabriel for the 34-yard go ahead touchdown in the fourth quarter to lift the Browns to a 22-17 victory over the Buccaneers from FirstEnergy Stadium. Hoyer tossed for 300 yards and two scores on the day while Terrance West rushed for 48 yards and caught a touchdown.  Tashaun Gipson hauled in his league-best sixth interception and Billy Cundiff connected on all three of his field goal attempts. Cleveland moves to 5-3 with its fourth win in five games. Mike Glennon threw for 260 yards and two TDs with a pair of picks as well. Mike Evans totaled seven catches for 124 yards with both scores and Bobby Rainey ran for 87 yards for Tampa Bay, which drops to 1-7.


Cardinals Top Cowboys

(Arlington, TX) -- Carson Palmer fired three touchdown passes to lead the Cardinals to a 28-17 win over the Cowboys at AT&T Stadium. Andre Ellington rushed for 95 yards on 21 carries and added four catches for 39 yards and a score in the victory. Larry Fitzgerald led the receivers with 70 yards on five catches and the defense forced two interceptions and blocked a field goal. The Cardinals stayed hot with their fourth straight win and a 7-1 record. Brandon Weeden failed to move the offense in place of the injured Tony Romo, throwing for 183 yards and two picks. DeMarco Murray was held under 100 yards for the first time this season as he rushed for 79 yards on 19 carries. Dez Bryant caught a touchdown pass in the closing minutes and Tyler Patmon added a pick-six on the defensive side of the ball. The Cowboys have dropped two straight and sit at 6-3.


Eagles Hang On To Top Texans

(Houston, TX) -- Mark Sanchez came in for an injured Nick Foles and threw for 202 yards and two touchdowns to help the Eagles pick up a 31-21 win over the Texans from NRG Stadium. Jeremy Maclin hauled in six passes for 158 yards and two scores while Jordan Matthews had a TD grab. LeSean McCoy rushed for 117 yards on 23 carries and Chris Polk totaled 50 yards and a touchdown on the ground for Philly, which improves to 6-2. Ryan Fitzpatrick went 13-of-27 for 203 yards with two TDs and a pick. Arian Foster rushed for 56 yards and caught a 56-yard touchdown before leaving after a non-contact injury. Houston fell to 4-5 with its fourth loss in five games.


Chiefs Cruise By Jets

(Kansas City, MO) -- Alex Smith threw for 199 yards and two touchdowns as the Chiefs rolled the Jets 24-10 from Arrowhead Stadium. Jamaal Charles rushed for 78 yards and a touchdown pushing Kansas City to 5-3 and 3-1 at home. Travis Kelce hauled in four balls for 67 yards and a TD in the win. Michael Vick threw for 196 yards and a touchdown but left for a little bit, making way for Matt Simms, before finishing out the game.  Eric Decker had nine catches for 63 yards and a TD while Percy Harvin made 11 catches for 129 yards. The Jets are 1-8.


Bengals Beat Jaguars

(Cincinnati, OH) -- Jeremy Hill rushed for 154 yards and a pair of touchdowns as the Bengals beat the Jaguars 33-23 from Cincinnati. Hill was the starting back in place of Giovani Bernard, who was out with an injury. Andy Dalton threw a pair of touchdowns and two interceptions for Cincinnati, which improved to 5-2-and-1 and 4-0-and-1 at home. Mohamed Sanu and A.J. Green each hauled in a TD. This was Green's first game since Week Five. Blake Bortles tossed two touchdowns and an interception as Jacksonville slipped to 1-8 and 0-5 on the road. Denard Robinson rushed for a touchdown while Allen Hurns had 112 yards and two scores receiving.


Dolphins Blank Chargers

(Miami, FL) -- Ryan Tannehill threw for 288 yards and three touchdowns as the Dolphins blanked the Chargers 37-0 from Miami. Lamar Miller ran for 49 yards and a TD for Miami, which improved to 5-3 and 2-2 at home. Miller left in the third with a shoulder injury. Charles Clay had five catches for 65 yards and a touchdown in the win, which is the first Miami shutout in 123 games. Philip Rivers threw three interceptions and left in the second half with a hand injury. San Diego is 5-4 and 2-3 on the road.


Vikings Top Redskins

(Minneapolis, MN) -- Matt Asiata rushed for three touchdowns as the Vikings held on for a 29-26 win over the Redskins from TCF Bank Stadium. Teddy Bridgewater threw for 268 yards and a TD helping Minnesota improve to 4-5 and 2-2 at home. Chase Ford hauled in the TD from Bridgewater. Robert Griffin the Third was back on the field for the first time in nearly two months. He threw for 251 yards with a touchdown and an interception. Alfred Morris rushed for 92 yards and a pair of TDs while DeSean Jackson had 120 yards and a score on four catches as Washington slipped to 3-and-6 and 1-4 on the road.


Seahawks Hang On To Beat Raiders

(Seattle, WA)  --  The Raiders made it interesting but in the end the Seahawks hung on for a 30-24 victory from CenturyLink Field.  Marshawn Lynch ran for 67 yards and two touchdowns and added a game-high 76 receiving yards.  Russell Wilson went 17-of-35 for 179 yards and Bruce Irvin took an interception 35 yards for a TD to help Seattle move to 5-and-3.  Derek Carr tossed for 194 yards and two scores with two picks for Oakland, which suffered its 14th straight loss dating back to last season.  Mychal Rivera caught both touchdowns and Brice Butler recovered a blocked punt in the end zone for a score in defeat.


Patriots Pound Broncos

(Foxboro, MA) -- The Patriots used a 24-point second quarter to power past the Broncos 43-21 from Foxboro. Tom Brady threw for 333 yards, four touchdowns and an interception to help New England to a 7-2 record and a 5-0 home mark. Brady also moved into fifth place on the all-time passing yards list. Rob Gronkowski hauled in nine passes for 105 yards and a touchdown. Julian Edelman returned a punt for a TD and had a receiving score in the win. Peyton Manning tossed for 438 yards with two TDs and two interceptions for Denver, which slipped to 6-2 and 1-2 on the road. Ronnie Hillman had a rushing and receiving score in the loss.


"Big Ben" Sets Record In Steelers Rout Of Ravens

(Pittsburgh, PA) -- Ben Roethlisberger threw six touchdown passes for the second straight week to lead the Steelers to a 43-23 rout of the Ravens on "Sunday Night Football" at Heinz Field. "Big Ben's" 12 TD passes in the last two weeks is an NFL record. He finished the game 25-of-37 for 340 yards and a fumble.  Antonio Brown had 11 catches for 144 yards and a score, while Martavis Bryant had a pair of TD catches for the Steelers, who improved to 6-3 on the season. Joe Flacco went 30-for-45 for 303 yards with two TD's and an interception for Baltimore, which slipped to 5-4. Jacoby Jones had a 108 yard kickoff return for a touchdown in the setback.


Bears Turn To Week 10

(Lake Forest, IL) -- The Bears are turning to Week 10 of the NFL season. Chicago was on a bye week this past weekend. The Bears are at Green Bay on Sunday.  The Packers are also coming off a bye week at 5-3.
