Effingham Junior Hearts Football teams claimed one victory and suffered three losses Saturday in action at Effingham against the Decatur Panthers.

In the fifth-grade contest, Effingham was a 42-0 winner. Parker Siner carried the ball four times for 109 yards and scored two touchdowns to lead the Junior Hearts. Eidar, Logan Brown and Webb had a touchdown each for the winners. Brown's TD came on a 57-yard kickoff return.

The Decatur Panthers downed the Effingham sixth-grade team 20-6. Bishop scored the lone TD for the Junior Hearts.

Decatur was a 44-12 winner over Effingham in seventh-grade action. Scoring touchdowns for the Junior Hearts were Vasquez rushing and Stevenson connecting with Maroon in passing.
