Rams Down Seahawks, Bears Fall to Dolphins

Rams Sink Seahawks
(St. Louis, MO) -- Austin Davis threw for 152 yards and two touchdowns to help the Rams sink the Super Bowl champion Seahawks 28-26 from the Edward Jones Dome. Stedman Bailey returned a punt 90 yards for a TD while Tre Mason rushed for 85 yards and a touchdown for St. Louis, which snapped a three-game slide. Benjamin Cunningham and Lance Kendricks each hauled in a TD pass. Russell Wilson tossed for 313 yards and two touchdowns for Seattle, which has lost two straight for the first time since Week Seven and Eight in 2012. He added 106 yards and a score on the ground. Doug Baldwin had a coming out party after the trade of Percy Harvin. He ended with seven catches for 123 yards and a touchdown.
The Rams are shifting gears to focus on their Week Eight matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs. St. Louis heads across the state to Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday afternoon. The Rams are 2-4 after Sunday's win, while the Chiefs sit at 3-3 after beating the Chargers.
Dolphins Take Down Bears
(Chicago, IL) -- Ryan Tannehill threw for 277 yards and two touchdowns as the Dolphins dominated the Bears 27-14 at Soldier Field. Miami's defense forced three turnovers while Tannehill hit eight different receivers on 25 completions. He tossed scores to Charles Clay and Mike Wallace. Lamar Miller added 61 yards and a touchdown on the ground as the Dolphins improved to 3-3. Matt Forte ran fro 49 yards and a TD and hauled in six catches for 60 yards and a score for Chicago. Jay Cutler threw for 190 yards with a touchdown and turned the ball over twice. The Bears fell to 3-4 and are winless at home this year in three games.
The Bears are shifting focus to their Week Eight road matchup against the New England Patriots. Chicago is now 3-4 after Sunday's loss to the Dolphins. The Patriots sit at 5-2 after edging the Jets last Thursday.
Manning Breaks Record In Broncos Blowout Victory
(Denver, CO) -- Peyton Manning made history on "Sunday Night Football" during the Broncos 42-17 romp of the 49ers at Mile High. Manning broke Brett Favre's career pass touchdown record of 508 when he found Demaryius Thomas for an eight-yard score late in the second quarter. His 509th TD pass was his third of the night after connecting with Emmanuel Sanders and Wes Welker in the first quarter. Manning finished with 318 yards passing and four TDs. Ronnie Hillman ran for 74 yards and two scores on the ground, while Thomas stayed scorching hot with eight catches, 171 yards and two TDs. The Broncos are 5-1. San Francisco struggled to get anything going on the ground rushing for 62 yards on 18 carries including nine attempts and 20 yards from Frank Gore. Colin Kaepernick threw for 263 yards, one TD and one interception as the Niners fell to 4-3.
Ravens Dominate Falcons In Baltimore
(Baltimore, MD) -- The Ravens forced a turnover and grabbed a safety on their way to a dominating 29-7 win over the Falcons at M&T Bank Stadium. Joe Flacco threw for 258 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions as Baltimore improved to 5-2. Torrey Smith made three catches for 81 yards and a touchdown while Justin Forsett ran for 95 yards in the win. Matt Ryan threw for 228 yards with a touchdown to Roddy White, who ended with nine catches for 100 yards. Ryan also lost a fumble for Atlanta, which fell to 2-5 this season.
Redskins Come Back On Titans
(Landover, MD) -- Kai Forbath drove a 22-yard field goal through the uprights as time expired to give the Redskins a 19-17 win over the Titans at FedEx Field. Forbath was a perfect 4-for-4 as the Redskins improved to 2-5. Colt McCoy finished 11-for-12 for 128 yards and a touchdown after taking over for Kirk Cousins in the second half. Cousins threw a pick and lost a fumble during the first half. Pierre Garcon caught five balls for 87 yards including a 70-yard score. Charlie Whitehurst threw for 160 yards and two scores in the loss. Kendall Wright hauled in six passes for 68 yards and a touchdown while Derek Hagan added a score on two catches. Bishop Sankey rushed for 56 yards on 16 carries as the Titans dropped to 2-and-5.
Jaguars Roll Browns
(Jacksonville, FL) -- Denard Robinson rushed for 127 yards and scored a touchdown as the Jaguars rolled the Browns 24-6 at EverBank Field. Blake Bortles threw three interceptions in the win but also fired a touchdown. Allen Robinson recorded four catches for 60 yards and a score, while Clay Harbor caught six passes as Jacksonville won its first contest of the season. Billy Cundiff was 2-for-2 on field goals for the Browns who fell to 3-3. Brian Hoyer completed just 16 of his 41 passes for 215 yards and an interception in the defeat. Andrew Hawkins grabbed five passes for 112 yards to lead the team.
Colts Blow Away Bengals
(Indianapolis, IN) -- Andrew Luck threw for 344 yards and two touchdowns as the Colts blew out the Bengals 27-0 at Lucas Oil Stadium. Luck also lost a fumble, but hit T.Y. Hilton for seven catches and 107 yards in the win. Dwayne Allen and Ahmad Bradshaw caught TD pases as Indianapolis improved to 5-2. Bradshaw also scored on the ground while rushing for 52 yards while Trent Richardson added 77 yards. Andy Dalton was held to 126 yards passing for Cincinnati, which managed just eight first downs. The Bengals ran for 32 yards on 12 carries while falling to 3-2-1.
Bills Edge Vikings On Late TD
(Orchard Park, NY) -- Sammy Watkins hauled in a two-yard touchdown pass from Kyle Orton with one second to play as the Bills clipped the Vikings 17-16 at Ralph Wilson Stadium. Watkins finished with nine catches for 122 yards and two scores as Buffalo improved to 4-3. Orton had 283 yards passing with the two TDs and two turnovers. C.J. Spiller had one carry for 53 yards but left the game with what the Bills believe is a broken collarbone. Fred Jackson also left the game with an injury. Teddy Bridgewater threw for 157 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions for Minnesota. Jerick McKinnon ran for 103 yards as Minnesota fell to 2-5.
Lions Sink Saints
(Detroit, MI) -- Matthew Stafford threw a pair of touchdown passes with under four minutes to go as the Lions rallied by the Saints 24-23 from Ford Field. Stafford ended with 299 yards and two interceptions. Golden Tate had 10 catches for 154 yards and a touchdown for Detroit, which is tied atop the NFC North at 5-2. Joique Bell added 48 yards and a TD on the ground in the win. Drew Brees threw two touchdowns and an interception with 342 yards for New Orleans, which slipped to 0-4 on the road and 2-4 overall. Marques Colston had six catches for 111 yards while Kenny Stills picked up 103 yards and a TD in defeat.
Packers Pummel Panthers
(Green Bay, WI) -- The Packers shot out to a 21-point lead in the first quarter and held on for a 38-17 win over the Panthers from Lambeau Field. Aaron Rodgers threw for 255 yards and three touchdowns for Green Bay, which remains tied atop the NFC North at 5-2. Eddie Lacy and James Starks each rushed for a touchdown. Randall Cobb hauled in six balls for 121 yards and a TD. Cam Newton had a touchdown and an interception with 205 yards for Carolina, which is still atop the NFC South at 3-3-1. Greg Olsen had 105 yards on eight receptions.
Chiefs Edge Chargers In Final Seconds
(San Diego, CA) -- Cairo Santos nailed a 48-yard field goal with 21 seconds left to give the Chiefs a 23-20 victory over the division-rival Chargers from Qualcomm Stadium. Jamaal Charles rushed for 95 yards and a touchdown off 22 carries to become the franchise's all-time leading rusher. Alex Smith completed 19-of-28 passes for 221 yards and an 11-yard score to Anthony Sherman to help Kansas City improve to 3-3 on the year. Phillip Rivers tossed for 205 yards, two TDs and a pick as San Diego had its five-game winning streak snapped. Antonio Gates caught a 27-yard touchdown pass and Branden Oliver carried the ball 15 times for 67 yards in the loss.
Cowboys Rock Giants
(Arlington, TX) -- DeMarco Murray became the first running back in NFL history to start the season with seven consecutive 100-yard rushing games as the Cowboys topped the Giants 31-21 at AT&T Stadium. Murray rushed for 128 yards on 28 carries and a score to pass Jim Brown. Tony Romo fired three touchdown passes in the win and Dez Bryant caught nine passes for 151 yards. Gavin Escobar grabbed two scores on three catches as Dallas improved to 6-1. Eli Manning went 21-for-33 for 248 yards and three touchdowns in the loss. Odell Beckham Jr. caught four balls for 34 yards and two scores and Larry Donnell fumbled twice for the Giants. New York drops its second straight contest to fall to 3-4.
