Bears Cruise Past Falcons, Rams on Monday Night Football

(Atlanta, GA) -- Matt Forte ran for 80 yards and a pair of touchdowns as the Bears rolled to a 27-13 win over the Falcons at the Georgia Dome. Forte added 77 yards on 10 catches while Jay Cutler threw for 381 yards and a touchdown. Alshon Jeffery had five grabs for 136 yards and Brandon Marshall hauled in six catches for 113 yards. Chicago improved to 3-3. Matt Ryan threw for 271 yards with a touchdown and interception for Atlanta, which was held to 42 yards on 13 carries as a team. Julio Jones made four catches for 68 yards as the Falcons fell to 2-4.

The Bears are already looking ahead to Week Seven. Chicago returns home on Sunday to host the Miami Dolphins at Soldier Field. The Bears are now 3-3 while the Dolphins enter the contest at 2-3 after a loss to the Packers Sunday.


Rams Host 49ers On Monday Night Football

(St. Louis, MO) -- The Rams are in the national spotlight tonight as they host the NFC West rival 49ers on "Monday Night Football." Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. A furious rally came up short last week in a 34-28 loss at Philadelphia as the Rams fell to 1-3. San Francisco is 3-2.
 

Patriots Turn Away Bills

(Buffalo, NY) -- Tom Brady threw for 361 yards and four touchdowns as the Patriots took down the Bills 37-22 at Ralph Wilson Stadium. Brandon LaFell made four catches for 97 yards and two scores as New England improved to 4-2. Brian Tyms and Tim Wright also hauled in scores while Stevan Ridley piled up 23 rushing yards before departing with a knee injury. Kyle Orton threw for 299 yards with a pair of TDs and an interception in defeat. Fred Jackson ran for 26 yards and a score while Scott Chandler made six catches for 105 yards. Buffalo fell to 3-3.


Titans Tame Jaguars, Keep Jacksonville Winless

(Nashville, TN) -- Josh Scobee had a 55-yard field goal attempt blocked with seconds to play as the Titans held on for a 16-14 win over the Jaguars at LP Field. Jacksonville scored to cut the lead to two with 37 seconds left, then recovered an onside kick to have a chance to win. Instead, the Jags remain winless at 0-6. Charlie Whitehurst threw for 233 yards while Bishop Sankey ran for 61 yards in the win for Tennessee. The Titans improved to 2-4. Blake Bortles threw for 336 yards with a touchdown and interception in defeat. Cecil Shorts made ten catches for 103 yards while Clay Harbor made three grabs for 91 yards and the score.


Flacco Powers Ravens Past Buccaneers

(Tampa, FL) -- Joe Flacco threw four touchdown passes in the first quarter as the Ravens routed the Buccaneers 48-17 at Raymond James Stadium. Flacco finished 21-of-29 for 306 yards and five scores while Justin Forsett ran for 111 yards on 14 carries. Steve Smith caught five passes for 110 yards and a TD while Torrey Smith made a pair of touchdown grabs. Baltimore improved to 4-2 with the win. Mike Glennon threw for 314 yards with two touchdowns and an interception for Tampa Bay, which trailed 38-0 at halftime. The Bucs fell to 1-5.


Broncos Ground Jets

(East Rutherford, NJ) -- Aqib Talib returned an interception 22 yards for a touchdown in the closing seconds to seal the Broncos' 31-17 win over the Jets at MetLife Stadium.  Peyton Manning threw for 237 yards and three touchdowns, two of which went to Julius Thomas. Demaryius Thomas made ten catches for 124 yards and a score while Ronnie Hillman ran for 100 yards as Denver improved to 4-1. Geno Smith threw for 190 yards with two touchdowns and an interception in defeat. Smith also ran for 11 of New York's 31 yards on the ground. Jace Amaro had 10 catches for 68 yards and a TD while Eric Decker also hauled in a score. The Jets fell to 1-5.


Lions Roar Past Vikings

(Minneapolis, MN) -- Joique Bell ran for 74 yards and a touchdown as the Lions dumped the Vikings 17-3 at TCF Bank Stadium. Matthew Stafford threw for 185 yards and a touchdown to Theo Riddick, who finished with five grabs for 75 yards. Detroit forced three interceptions from Teddy Bridgewater while improving to 4-2. Bridgewater finished 23-of-37 for 188 yards. Jerick McKinnon rushed for 40 yards for Minnesota, which fell to 2-4.


Bengals, Panthers Play To Tie

(Cincinnati, OH) -- Mike Nugent missed a 36-yard field goal as time expired in overtime as the Bengals and Panthers played to a 37-37 tie at Paul Brown Stadium. Each team kicked a field goal in overtime but couldn't come up with a deciding score late. Giovani Bernard ran for 137 yards and a touchdown while Mohamed Sanu made 10 catches for 120 yards and a score for Cincinnati. Andy Dalton threw for 323 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions as the Bengals moved to 3-1-1. Cam Newton threw for 284 yards with two touchdowns and an interception for Carolina. He added 107 rushing yards and a score. The Panthers are now 3-2-1.


Browns Blow Away Steelers

(Cleveland, OH) -- Ben Tate ran for 78 yards and a pair of touchdowns as the Browns blew out the Steelers 31-10 at FirstEnergy Stadium. Isaiah Crowell added 77 yards and a score on the ground for Cleveland, which improved to 3-2. Brian Hoyer threw for 217 yards and a touchdown to Jordan Cameron, who finished with three grabs for 102 yards. Ben Roethlisberger threw for 228 yards with a touchdown and interception for Pittsburgh. Antonio Brown made seven catches for 118 yards while Le'Veon Bell rushed for 82 yards in defeat. The Steelers fell to 3-3.


Packers Shock Dolphins

(Miami, FL) -- Aaron Rodgers found Andrew Quarless for a touchdown from four yards out with three seconds remaining to give the Packers a 27-24 victory over the Dolphins at Sun Life Stadium. Rodgers finished with 264 yards and three scores as Green Bay improved to 4-2. Jordy Nelson caught nine balls for 107 yards and a score while Randall Cobb added 58 yards and a touchdown in the win. The Packers struggled rushing the ball, as Eddie Lacy gained just 40 yards on 14 carries to lead the team. Ryan Tannehill threw for 244 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions. Mike Wallace and Jarvis Landry each hauled in scores while Lamar Miller ran for 53 yards and a TD. The Dolphins fell to 2-3.


Chargers Turn Away Raiders

(Oakland, CA) -- Branden Oliver found the end zone with just over a minute left to lift the Chargers in a 31-28 win over the Raiders in Oakland. Oliver rushed for 101 yards on 26 carries while Philip Rivers threw for 313 yards with three touchdowns. Malcom Floyd made five grabs for 103 yards and a TD as San Diego improved to 5-1. Derek Carr threw for 283 yards with four touchdowns, but was intercepted on the Raiders' final drive. Darren McFadden ran for 80 yards while Andre Holmes made four catches for 121 yards and two touchdowns in defeat. Oakland fell to 0-5.


Cowboys Shock Seahawks

(Seattle, WA) -- DeMarco Murray rushed for 115 yards and scored the go-ahead touchdown as the Cowboys shocked the Seahawks with a 30-23 win at CenturyLink Field. Murray tied Jim Brown as the only running backs to start the season with six consecutive games with 100-plus rushing yards. Tony Romo threw for 250 yards and two scores with Jason Witten and Gavin Escobar hauling in the TD passes. Dan Bailey was a perfect 3-for-3 kicking as the Cowboys improved to 5-1.  Seattle led 10-0 after Mike Morgan returned a blocked punt for a touchdown.  Russell Wilson threw for 126 yards and added a rushing touchdown, but threw his second interception of the season on the final drive. Marshawn Lynch gained 61 yards on the ground and Jermaine Kearse led Seattle in receiving with 62 yards. The Seahawks sit at 3-2.


Palmer Returns In Cardinals Victory

(Glendale, AZ) -- Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer played for the first time since Week One leading the way for a 30-20 win against the Redskins at University of Phoenix Stadium.  Palmer connected with Michael Floyd and Larry Fitzgerald for two first half touchdowns on his way to 250 passing yards total. Arizona's defense forced four turnovers, three interceptions from Kirk Cousins and an Andre Roberts fumble. Rashad Johnson turned one of his two picks into a 28-yard score. Arizona sits in first place in the NFC West at 4-1. Despite the three INTs, Cousins threw for 354 yards and two TDs. DeSean Jackson had a 64-yard TD reception and 115 yards on three catches. Washington is 1-5 and 0-3 on the road.


Eagles Rock Giants On "Sunday Night Football"

(Philadelphia, PA) -- LeSean McCoy came to life in the Eagles' 27-0 pounding of the Giants on "Sunday Night Football" from Lincoln Financial Field. McCoy ran for 149 yards on 22 carries, good for 6.8 yards per rush. Through the first five games "Shady" had averaged 2.9 yards per carry. Philadelphia's defense piled up eight sacks and held New York to 253 total yards. Nick Foles threw for 248 yards, two TDs and two interceptions as the Eagles held onto first place in the NFC East at 5-1. Eli Manning never got in rhythm completing 13-of-23 passes for 151 yards. Victor Cruz had two catches for 16 yards before leaving with a significant knee injury. The Giants are 3-3.
