EHS Frosh Lose Football Game in Double OT

Effingham High School's freshman football team lost 36-34 to Mattoon in double overtime Thursday evening, coming up short on a  two point conversion.

Jordan McCabe had 106 yards on 16 carries and scored two touchdowns. Parker Seachrest had 17 yards on four carries. McCabe connected on three of seven passes for 54 yards and a touchdown. Lucas Vasquez hit one of three passes for 16 yards and a touchdown. Kody Line had 74 yards receiving and two touchdowns.

Vasquez had one interception and one fumble recovery he returned 82 yards for a touchdown. He also had seven tackles. Jacob Miller had one interception. Line had one interception, two tackles and two assists. Frank Schniederjon had seven tackles and four assists.
