TAYLORVILLE -- Everything went right on the first play of the game as the Effingham High School junior varsity football team traveled to Taylorville.

Terrence Hill took a handoff from Lane Koenig for a touchdown from 52 yards out. But after the two point conversion by Koenig, Taylorville controlled the rest of the contest cruising to a 48-8 victory.

Effingham's record is now 1-2. The Hearts will host Mattoon next Monday.
