Packers Rout Bears Behind Rodgers, NFL Roundup

(Chicago, IL) -- Aaron Rodgers threw for 302 yards and four touchdowns as the Packers hammered the Bears 38-17 at Soldier Field. This was the 700th win for the Packers, joining the Bears as the only NFL teams with 700 wins. Rodgers threw just six incomplete passes while Eddie Lacy ran for 48 yards and a score. Randall Cobb finished with 113 yards receiving and two TDs while Jordy Nelson made ten grabs for 108 yards and two scores. Green Bay improved to 2-2 with the win. Jay Cutler was 22-of-34 for 256 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions for Chicago. Martellus Bennett had nine grabs for 134 yards while Matt Forte rushed for 122 yards in defeat. The Bears fell to 2-2.
With Week Four in the rear-view mirror, the Bears are already looking ahead. Chicago hits the road in Week Five to take on the Carolina Panthers. The Bears are now 2-2 on the season. Carolina is also 2-and-2 after a 38-10 loss Sunday at Baltimore.
The NFL is using flex scheduling to move the Bears' Week Six contest against the Falcons. The contest will now start at 3:25 p.m. on October 12 at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta and air on FOX. The league also moved the Patriots-Bills contest for that day to an earlier start.
Rams Return To Work
(St. Louis, MO) -- The Rams return to work this week coming off their bye. The Rams had no game on Sunday but now look ahead to this Sunday's game against the Eagles in Philadelphia. St. Louis is 1-2 on the season, while Philadelphia is 3-1 after suffering its first loss of the year Sunday in San Francisco.
Luck, Colts Blow Out Titans
(Indianapolis, IN) -- Andrew Luck threw for 393 yards with four touchdowns and an interception as the Colts blew out the Titans 41-17 at Lucas Oil Stadium. Reggie Wayne caught seven balls for 119 yards and a score while T.Y. Hilton had 105 yards receiving. Dwayne Allen, Coby Fleener and Ahmad Bradshaw all caught TDs while Trent Richardson ran for 47 yards and a score as Indianapolis improved to 2-2. Charlie Whitehurst stepped in for the injured Jake Locker and threw for 177 yards with a touchdown and interception for Tennessee. Whitehurst also led the team in rushing with 40 yards while Delanie Walker had 84 yards and a touchdown receiving. The Titans fell to 1-3.
Texans Hold Off Bills In Houston
(Houston, TX) -- J.J. Watt scored his second touchdown of the season as the Texans held off the Bills 23-17 at NRG Stadium. Watt took an interception back 80 yards for a score as Houston improved to 3-1. Ryan Fitzpatrick threw for 268 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions against his former team. DeAndre Hopkins had five grabs for 64 yards and the TD while Andre Johnson made six catches for 71 yards in the win. EJ Manuel threw for 225 yards with two touchdowns and two INTs for Buffalo. Mike Williams and Sammy Watkins hauled in the scores while C.J. Spiller ran for 60 yards in defeat. The Bills are now 2-and-2.
Ravens, Smith Pound Panthers
(Baltimore, MD) -- Steve Smith caught a pair of touchdowns against his former team as the Ravens routed the Panthers 38-10 at M&T Bank Stadium. Smith finished with seven catches for 139 yards while Torrey Smith also hauled in a TD from Joe Flacco, who was 22-of-31 for 327 yards with the three scores. Justin Forsett and Lorenzo Taliaferro each found the end zone on the ground for Baltimore, which moved to 3-1. Cam Newton was 14-of-25 for 197 yards and a touchdown pass to Kelvin Benjamin. Carolina was held to 67 yards rushing on 26 carries while DeAngelo Williams left the game with an ankle injury. The Panthers dipped to 2-2.
Lions Hold Off Jets
(East Rutherford, NJ) -- The Lions held two separate 14-point leads and held on for a 24-17 win over the Jets at MetLife Stadium. Matthew Stafford threw for 293 yards with a pair of touchdowns for Detroit, which improved to 3-1. Stafford also ran for a score while Jeremy Ross and Eric Ebron caught TDs. Geno Smith was 17-of-33 for 209 yards with a touchdown, interception and lost fumble Chris Ivory ran for 84 yards while Chris Johnson scored a TD on the ground as New York fell to 1-3.
Glennon Leads Bucs Past Steelers
(Pittsburgh, PA) -- Mike Glennon hit Vincent Jackson on a five-yard touchdown pass with seven seconds left to lead the Buccaneers in a 27-24 win over the Steelers from Heinz Field. It's Tampa Bay's first win ever in Pittsburgh. Glennon stepped in for the injured Josh McCown and threw for 302 yards with two TDs and an interception. Doug Martin ran for 40 yards and a touchdown while Mike Evans caught four balls for 65 yards and a TD. Tampa Bay earned its first win to move to 1-3. Ben Roethlisberger threw for 314 yards and three touchdowns, including two to Antonio Brown, who made seven grabs for 131 yards. Brown became the first player in NFL history to make at least five catches in 20 straight games. Heath Miller also caught a TD for Pittsburgh, which fell to 2-2.
Tannehill Leads Dolphins Past Raiders In London
(London, England) -- Ryan Tannehill threw for 278 yards with two touchdowns and an interception as the Dolphins cruised to a 38-14 win over the Raiders from London's Wembley Stadium. Lamar Miller ran for 64 yards and two scores while Cortland Finnegan returned a fumble 50 yards for a touchdown. Miami caused four turnovers in all as they improved to 2-2. Derek Carr was 16-of-25 for 146 yards with a touchdown and an interception before leaving with an injury. He was replaced by Matt McGloin, who threw for 129 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions. Oakland is winless at 0-4.
Chargers Bolt Past Jaguars
(San Diego, CA) -- Philip Rivers threw for 377 yards with three touchdowns as the Chargers downed the Jaguars 33-14 at Qualcomm Stadium. Keenan Allen made ten grabs for 135 yards while Eddie Royal finished with five catches for 105 yards and two touchdowns. Malcom Floyd also hauled in a TD grab as San Diego improved to 3-1. Blake Bortles threw for 253 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions for Jacksonville. The rookie added 24 rushing yards while Toby Gerhart ran for 32 yards and a touchdown. The Jags remain winless at 0-4.
Niners Rally To Top Eagles
(Santa Clara, CA) -- The 49ers allowed just 213 yards of total offense and forced four turnovers en route to a 26-21 victory over the Eagles at Levi's Stadium. Colin Kaepernick tossed for 218 yards and two touchdowns while Frank Gore rushed for 119 yards off 24 carries and caught a 55-yard touchdown pass. Stevie Johnson also had a TD grab and Phil Dawson converted on all four of his field goal attempts to help San Francisco improve to 2-2. Philadelphia got 14 points off special teams with Darren Sproles returning a punt 82 yards for a score and Brad Smith recovering a blocked punt in the end zone. Malcolm Jenkins added a TD thanks to an interception as the Eagles suffered their first loss of the season. Nick Foles completed 21-of-43 passes for 195 yards and two picks while LeSean McCoy rushed for just 17 yards on 10 carries.
Vikings Smash Falcons
(Minneapolis, MN) -- Matt Asiata rushed for three touchdowns to carry the Vikings to a 41-28 win over the Falcons from TCF Bank Stadium. Rookie Teddy Bridgewater threw for 317 yards and rushed for a TD in his first NFL start. He left late in the game with an ankle injury and was replaced with Christian Ponder. Jerick McKinnon ran for 135 yards while Jarius Wright had 132 yards on eight catches moving Minnesota to 2-2. Matt Ryan tossed for three touchdowns and two interceptions as Atlanta fell to 2-2. Antone Smith ran for a 48-yard TD late in the third to give the Falcons a one-point lead heading into the final quarter.
Cowboys Roll Through Saints
(Arlington, TX) -- The Cowboys made a statement on "Sunday Night Football" hammering the Saints, 38-17, at AT&T Stadium on the back of the NFL's leading rusher. DeMarco Murray ran for 149 yards on 24 carries with two touchdowns. Tony Romo had an efficient night, completing 22-of-29 passes for 262 yards, three TDs and no interceptions as Dallas improved to 3-1. Terrance Williams was on the receiving end of two of the scores and Dez Bryant hauled in the other. The Saints' struggles on the road continued as they turned the ball over three times. New Orleans scored two touchdowns early in the fourth quarter with Drew Brees finding Josh Hill and Jimmy Graham, but that was as close they would get. Brees tossed for 340 yards through the air and also had an interception. The Saints dropped to a surprising 1-3.
