EIU Football Games To Be Carried On Four Network Stations

CHARLESTON, Ill. -- Eastern Illinois Panther football will once again cover more than one third of the State of Illinois when the Panthers open the season in two weeks at Minnesota on August 28.  EIU will be heard in Coles County, Decatur, Effingham, Springfield, Champaign and Peoria with the broadcast carried on four network stations.
 
The four network stations include Hit Mix 88.9 FM WEIU in Charleston, WHOW The Big 1520 AM and 92.3 FM in Clinton, WMKR Genuine Country 94.3 FM in Taylorville and WSVZ New Country 98.3 FM in Shelbyville / Effingham.
 
Mike Bradd and Jack Ashmore will once again call the action from the booth.  Bradd is in his 15th season as the Voice of the Panthers with Ashmore serving as the color commentator.
 
Broadcasts on the radio network will begin 30 minutes prior to kick off and conclude with a 15 minute post-game show.  In addition to over the air broadcasts all games can be heard via the internet with links available at www.eiupanthers.com
 
The EIU Football Coaches Show will return for a second straight year on Thursday night’s during the football season airing live from the Brickhouse Bar & Grill in Charleston.  Broadcasts will begin on Thursday, Sept. 4 and continue through Nov. 20th prior the Panthers final regular season game against UT Martin.  Mike Bradd will host the show and be joined weekly by first year head coach Kim Dameron from 6:30 p.m. until 7 p.m.   The show will be broadcast on Hit Mix 88.9 FM WEIU and streamed over the internet.
