Effingham High School's Dylan Wolff has signed to play football for Millikin University.

"We initially found out about Dylan through head coach Mike McDonald," said Millikin University football coach Patrick Etherton. "After that we really liked his work ethic and ability to play multiple positions offensively at quarterback and wide receiver. Then watching his film and getting to meet with him, we got to see those characteristics first hand and that really attracted Dylan to us here at Millikin.

"Right now, we want him to come in and compete for a wide receiver position for us.

"We are really excited about this upcoming fall with the players returning and the recruits coming  in to help our team compete. There are plenty of opportunities for these guys to get on the field and we hope they come into camp ready to compete.

"We really like that Dylan played multiple positions on the field offensively. So he has a better knowledge on how the passing game works as both a quarterback and wide receiver. It's too easy to tell guys that they need to get stronger and faster. All athletes know this, but what I think the two most important things that wide receivers have to work on to play at the collegiate level is working on their timing of routes iwth the quarterbacks and being able to create that separation from the defensive backs to get open fro their coverage."
