Bears Sign DE Scott
(Lake Forest, IL) -- The Bears signed defensive end Trevor Scott to a one-year contract on Thursday. The 29-year-old appeared in only four games for Tampa Bay last season before getting cut in October. In 2012, Scott played in 14 games for New England, where he had 14 tackles and three sacks. Scott has appeared in 76 games with 18 starts across six seasons.
Devin Hester won't be playing in the Windy City anymore. The Chicago Bears say they will not re-sign the prolific kick returner to a new contract, making him an unrestricted free agent next week. The 31-year-old is the NFL's all-time leader with 13 punt returns for touchdown and 18 total kick returns for touchdown.
