EJHS Wins Boys, Girls Cross Country Meets

Effingham Junior High School hosted its first-ever cross country meets on the campus of Effingham High School.

"What a great first meet," said Coach Nancy Ervin. "Both squads won the meet with the boys having a perfect score and the girls were so close to one. Congratulaitons to seventh-grader Jared Klingler and eighth-grader Laynee Pankau for winning their races."

Klingler won the boys race with a time of 11:42 while Pankau won the girls race in 15:25.
