St. A Nabs Boys C.C. Meet, Newton Girls Meet

The Bulldogs edged Newton 27-31. Newton's Nick Zwilling won the meet with a time of 16:26. Newton's other scorers were Luke Weber fourth in 17:18, Clay Bergbower sixth in 17:50, Ben Street 11th in 18:05 and Owen Mahaffey 14th in 18:28.

St. Anthony placed all five scoring runners in the top nine. Noah Tegeler was third in 17:12, Griffen Elder fifth in 17:32, Brian Dust seventh in 17:51, Mick Willenborg eighth in 17:58 and Gio Buccio ninth in 17:58.

Flora and Altamont had runners but not enough for team scores. Flora's Isaac Stanford was second in 16:59. Altamont's Derrick Budde took 13th in 18;27.

In the girls meet, Newton was the winner with 25 points while St. Anthony had 30. Altamont had one runner competing.

Newton's Rylea Borgic finished first in 20:13 followed by Laney Hemrich second in 22:27. Elley Bennett fourth in 22:49, Lucy Yager ninth in 23:45 and Alli Kirts 11th in 24:41.

Scoring for the Bulldogs were Rilie Willenborg third in 22:39, Emma Helmink fifth in 23:03, Stacie Vonderheide sixth in 23:13, Alexis Hetzer seventh in 23:26 and Riley Guy 10th in 24:20.

Altamont's Brooke Runge finished eighth in 23:39.
