EHS Boys Third, Girls Fourth In Cross Country Meets

In the boys meet, Mattoon won with 32 points followed by Mount Zion 36, Effingham 73 and Charleston 96.

Mattoon's Brock Davee won the meet with a time of 16:04.5 and the Green Wave placed all five scorers in the top 11.

Andrew Donaldson finished sixth for the Hearts with a time of 17:05.1. Also scoring were Tucker Moeller 14th in 18:04.6, Garrett Wagoner 17th in 18:10.2, Jon Perry 21st in 19:03.4 and John Westendorf 24th in 19:26.8.

In the girls meet, Mount Zion won with 33 points followed by Charleston 41, Mattoon 79 and Effingham 85.

Charleston's Megan Garrett won the meet with a time of 18:40.3.

Scoring for the Hearts were Kiley Weaver eighth in 20:58.7, Nicole Schniederjon 15th in 21:53.2, Daelyn Dunston 21st in 23:01.9, Kayleigh Koester 22nd in 23:26.0 and Gracie Eaton 32nd in 27:45.8.
