Finals from 2019 State Junior High Meets

The St. Anthony/Sacred Heart boys and girls cross country teams fared well at the state junior high meet Saturday at Maxwell Park in Normal.

The boys team finished 15th with a 332 total. Individual scores: Aidan Braunecker 29th, Drew Hanfland 57th, Samuel Link 71st, Elliot Frisbie 84th, Noah Flaig 91st, Luis Canales Gonzalez 116th, and Vincent Vogel 167th.

The girls team finished 21st with a 559 total. Individual scores: Emma Helmink 62nd, Alivia Soltwedel 98th, Ava Faber 118th, Taylor Miller 139th, Mia Schwing 142nd, Jada Carpenter 155th, and Grace Niebrugge 160th.

One area athlete competed as an individual in the 2A State Race. Luke Weber of Jasper County finished 51st with a time of 11:37.5.
