Good Results for State Cross Country Runners

There were good results seen from area runners who competed Saturday at the state cross country meet in Peoria.

The Teutopolis girls team finished 20th. The finishes: senior Kara Weichman 48th, freshman Jessica Runde 63rd, junior Morgan Mette 86th, junior Rebecca Habing 126th, junior Jenelle Vogt 161st, sophomore Micah McWhorter 169th, and freshman Ashley Bressendorf 170th. Their times: Weichman 19:22, Runde 19:53, Mette 20:23, Habing 21:15, Vogt 23:00, McWhorter 24:25, and Bressendorf 24:39.

As far as area girls competing as individuals, freshman Jasmyn Dittamore of Cumberland finished 52nd in 18:58, junior Emmalyn Walk of Neoga 67th in 19:14, and junior Sarah Carr of St. Anthony finished 76th in 19:24.

The lone boy competitor at State was junior Kort McClellan of Cumberland, who finished 29th in 15:37.
