Cumberland Cross Country Invitational Results

TOLEDO -- The Cumberland High School Cross Country Invitationals were held Saturday.

In the girls meet, Tolono Unity was the team champion with 28 points followed by St. Joseph-Ogden 47, Freeburg 93, Mattoon 112, Lawrenceville Co-op 185, Cumberland 192, Paris 196, Neoga/Stewardson-Strasburg 209, Effingham St. Anthony 212, Tuscola 252, Olney 288 and Dieterich 298. Altamont, Chrisman, Rantoul, Hutsonville/Palestine and Sullivan had runners competing but not enough for team scores.

Unity took the top two spots as Jordan Hardmon won in 18:50.65 and Caroline Bachert was second in 19:08.93. Cumberland's Jasmyn Dittamore finished seventh in 19:49.81. St. Anthony's Sarah Carr was ninth in 20:17.78.

In the boys meet, St. Joseph-Ogden was the team champion with 70 followed by Olney 88, Freeburg 90, Lawrenceville Co-op 139, Cumberland 139, Tuscola 142, Georgetown La Salette 186, Effingham St .Anthony 211, Tolono Unity 251, Mattoon 262, Hutsonville/Palestine 290, Rantoul 304, Sullivan 332, Paris 350, Neoga/Stewardson-Strasburg 390, Dieterich 442 and Altamont 472. Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond, Chrisman, Villa Grove-Heritage, Tri-County and Okaw Valley had runners but not enough for a team score.

Taking the top spot was ALAH-'s Logan Hall with a time of 15:48.64. Cumberland's Kort McClellan was fourth in 16:45.68. St. Anthony's Brian Dust took 20th in 17:39.67.
