The Kaskaskia College cross country teams earned post season honors for academics.

The Blue Angels team earned Coaches Association Scholar All American team honors for their 11th place finish with a team G.P.A. of 3.717 for the fall of 2016 season. All five members of the team earned the individual honor of Scholar All American for their G.P.A. They were Taylor Haskenhoff of Freeburg, Abby Wroblewski of Radom, Alexis Davidson of Newton, Kerry Porter of Aviston and Sarah Faust of St. Rose.

On the men’s side, sophomore Lucas Probst of Teutopolis also earned Scholar All American status for his G.P.A.

KC coach Mike Hargis says, “I am so very proud of the girl’s team and Lucas for receiving this honor again this year.  It is a true testament to the type of student-athletes we have been recruiting. Both teams continue to achieve success on the course and in the classroom. This annual reward is given by the coaches association and we look forward to being ranked in the final poll that is published at the end of the year as well.”
