Effingham St. Anthony High School senior Anna Sophia Keller made history at the 2016 Illinois High School Association Cross Country State Finals at Detweiller Park in Peoria Saturday, November 5.
The senior crossed the finish line first in the Class 1A Girls State Final race, completing her legendary career with four individual state championships.
Keller became the third runner in state history to complete the four-peat feat, joining NFHS Hall of Famer Dana Miroballi of Wheeling (Single Class, 1984-87) and Carthage High School’s (now Illini West) Katelyn Bastert, who won the Class A race from 2004-07.
