Stewardson-Strasburg/Windsor claimed a victory in the National Trail Conference Seventh-Grade Girls Basketball Tournament Wednesday.
SSW handed Brownstown/St. Elmo a 28-18 loss.Stew-Stras/Windsor took an 8-3 opening quarter lead and led 17-3 at halftime. Hayes tallied 13 points for the winners.
BSE was led by Williams with seven and J. Wilhour with six.
In other games, Altamont won over Neoga, 32-14 while Sigel St. Michael downed North Clay (Louisville), 34-5.
Tonight's games feature Altamont facing Dieterich at 6 followed by Sigel St. Michael against Stewardson-Strasburg/Windsor at 7:15 in winner bracket action. The winners advance to the championship game Saturday at 11:30 a.m. while the losers drop into third place at 10:15 a.m.
