UNC Upends Duke In Chapel Hill

(Chapel Hill, NC) -- Leslie McDonald posted 21 points as North Carolina upended No. six Duke 74-66 at the Dean Smith Center in Chapel Hill. Marcus Paige added 13 points while James Michael McAdoo poured in 10 points with 10 rebounds for UNC. The Tar Heels improved to 19-and-7 with a 9-4 ACC record with their eighth straight win. Jabari Parker had 17 points and 11 rebounds for Duke, which led by 11 points with 15 minutes left. Rodney Hood added 16 points while Quinn Cook had 17 off the bench. The Blue Devils fell to 21-6 with a 10-4 conference record.


Illinois Remains Off Through Weekend

(Champaign, IL) -- Illinois has a while before getting back on the court. The Fighting Illini return to action next Wednesday at home against Nebraska. This past Wednesday, Illinois upended Minnesota on the road to improve to 15-12. The Illini are 4-10 in the Big Ten.

 

College Basketball Roundup

In regional college basketball action last night, Northern Illinois notched a 61-59 double-overtime win over Eastern Michigan. Tonight, UIC plays host to Oakland. Saturday, Northwestern welcomes Indiana, DePaul hosts Marquette and Notre Dame is at Virginia.
