Illini Lose On The Road

(Lincoln, NE) -- Rayvonte Rice tallied 23 points and six rebounds as the Fighting Illini fell 67-58 to the Cornhuskers in Lincoln. No other Illinois play was in double-figures. Illinois dropped to 14-11 and 3-9 in the Big Ten. The Illini host Ohio State Saturday.


Top-Ranked Syracuse Edges Pitt At Buzzer

(Pittsburgh, PA) -- Freshman Tyler Ennis drained a three-pointer from 35-feet away at the buzzer as top-ranked Syracuse pulled out a 58-56 win over 23rd-ranked Pittsburgh at the Petersen Events Center. Talib Zanna drained a pair of free throws with 4.4-seconds left that put Pitt up 56-55. The Panthers fell to 20-5 and 8-4 in the ACC. Pitt travels to North Carolina on Saturday.


Blue Demons Dropped By Villanova

(Rosemont, IL) -- Brandon Young posted 27 points to pace the Blue Demons in an 87-62 setback to the Villanova Wildcats. Sandi Marcius totaled 10 points and seven rebounds for the Blue Demons, who slipped to 10-15 and 2-10 in the Big East. DePaul plays Providence on Saturday.


Memphis Takes Down UCF

(Memphis, TN) -- Joe Jackson posted 18 points, five assists and five rebounds to help Memphis get by UCF, 76-70, Wednesday at the FedExForum. The Tigers won their third straight to improve to 19-5 overall and 8-3 in the AAC. They play at UConn Saturday.


Texas Tech Tops Oklahoma In Norman

(Norman, OK) -- Robert Turner tallied 16 points as Texas Tech topped Oklahoma 68-60 in Norman. Jay Crockett notched 10 points and eight boards, while Dusty Hannahs had 10 points off the bench for the Red Raiders, who have won three in-a-row to improve to 13-11 on the year and 5-6 in the Big 12. Texas Tech travels to 14th-ranked Iowa State Saturday.


Duke, North Carolina Game Postponed

(Chapel Hill, NC) -- A winter storm is putting one of college basketball's best rivalries on hold. The game between number-nine Duke and North Carolina last night was postponed due to inclement weather. The game will be made up on February 20. On Saturday, Duke hosts Maryland and UNC hosts Pitt.
