T-town, Neoga, North Clay Advance To Regional Title Games

VANDALIA -- Teutopolis High School advanced to the championship game of the Class 2A Vandalia Girls Basketball Regional with a victory Tuesday evening.
The Wooden Shoes beat Vandalia 54-24. T-town took a 12-5 opening quarter lead and led 31-9 at halftime. A. Hartke tallied 12 points while Thompson scored 10 in the victory. Repking chipped in with nine points and five assists. Hardiek led in rebounds with five.
Vandalia was led by Cripe with 14 points.
In the second game, Greenville won over Flora 63-51.
T-town now faces Greenville Thursday at 7 p.m. for the Vandalia Regional championship.

Class 1A Nokomis Regional
Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City saw its season come to an end in the Nokomis Regional Tuesday evening.
Nokomis ran out to a 25-0 opening quarter lead and led 43-3 at halftime. Foster tallied 20 and Schneider 13 for the winners.
CHBC was led by Ward with six.
In the opener, Moweaqua Centarl A&M defeated Kincaid South Fork 88-30.
Nokomis advances to the championship game against Moweaqua Central A&M at 7 p.m. Thursday.

Class 1A Cumberland Reigonal
Neoga and Arcola picked up victories in the Cumberland Regional Tuesday evening.
Arcola defeated Kansas 62-34 in the opening contest.
In the second game, Neoga won over Okaw Valley 64-27. Three players hit double figures for the Indians. Deters tallied 21 while Thies added 18 and Butler 11.
Neoga and Arcola square off for the regional championship Thursday at 7 p.m.

North Clay (Louisville and Palestine/Hutsonville picked up victories in the Red Hill Regional Tuesday evening.
The Cardinals edged out to a 14-13 first quarter lead on South Central then led 31-21 at halftime. North Clay put the contest away with a 22-6 final period run.
Walker, K. Stanfield and Wyatt scored 16 points each in even scoring for the Cardinals. South Central was led by Hahn with 27 points.
