EHS Frosh/Soph Teams Pick Up Wins

Effingham's freshman/sophomore boys basketball teams picked up victories over Salem Monday evening.
The Hearts won the freshman contest 59-31. Grant Wolfe tallied 17 and Jacob Donaldson 15 to lead the Hearts. The pair got EHS off in the right direction with nine for Wolfe and eight for Donaldson in the opening quarter as the Hearts took a 20-10 lead.
In the sophomore contest, Effingham was a 45-32 winner. The Hearts led 21-16 at halftime and 27-23 going into the final period then had an 18-9 run. Brady Jackson and Jared Minor tallied 10 points each for the Hearts.
