Breese Central Wins Highland Tournament; Lady Shoes Finish Third

The Breese Central Cougars won the Highland Girls Tournament Saturday, defeating Belleville West 53-43.

The Teutopolis Lady Shoes claimed third place with a 39-29 win over Breese Mater Dei.

Madeline Hartke led Teutopolis with 11 points and Cierra Thompson scored 10 points.  Also for T-Town: Jessica Schumacher and Anna Hartke five points each, Danielle Repking three, Hannah Bueker and Haley Giles two each, and Janelle Gebben one point.

Nashville defeated Highland 51-39 in the fifth place game.

O'Fallon won over Nokomis 66-48 in the consolation championship game.
