The Teutopolis Wooden Shoes will play for third place tonight at the Nashville Invitational Tournament after suffering a 53-43 loss to Breese Mater Dei Friday night.

The Shoes led 14-13 after one quarter, but trailed 27-26 at halftime.  Mater Dei outscored the Shoes 13-8 in the third quarter to extend their lead to 40-34 and then outpointed T-Town 13-9 in the final quarter to secure the 10-point win.

Brett Mette led Teutopolis with 18 points on eight of 14 shooting.  Brock Mette scored eight points, Michael Drees and Tyler Gebben added five points apiece, Bobby Wenthe scored four points and Reed Hardiek scored three points.

Breese Central won the other semi-final game over Waterloo Gibault 43-36, so it will be a battle for Breese as well as for the Nashville Tournament championship.  Game time is 8pm.  Teutopolis will take on Waterloo Gibault for third place at 6pm.  A seventh place game between Mascoutah and Trenton Wesclin is slated for noon, followed by Nashville vs. Freeburg for the consolation championship at 1:30pm.
