(Champaign, IL) -- Tracy Abrams poured in 15 points but Illinois suffered a 78-62 loss to Michigan State on Saturday night at the State Farm Center. Jon Ekey and Rayvonte Rice each added 12 points as the Fighting Illini fell to 13-6 with a 2-4 Big Ten mark. The Illini play at Ohio State Thursday.

In college basketball action yesterday, Notre Dame downed Virginia Tech 70-63 and UIC fell to Green Bay, 69-64. On Saturday, DePaul suffered an 88-62 loss to Villanova. Also Saturday, Northwestern downed Indiana 54-47 while Northern Illinois suffered a 65-46 loss to Ohio.

Iowa Downs Minnesota

(Iowa City, IA) -- Aaron White scored 18 points to lead Iowa in a 94-73 win over Minnesota yesterday from Carver-Hawkeye Arena. Roy Devyn Marble added 16 points for Iowa, which is now 15-3 with a 4-1 mark in the Big Ten. The Hawkeyes play at Michigan on Wednesday.
