Teutopolis Wins CHBC Frosh/Soph Girls Tournament

Teutopolis claimed the championship of the Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City Freshman/Sophomore Girls Basketball Tournament Saturday.

In opening games, Altamont defeated CHBC 51-28, Effingham edged Pana 28-24, Ramsey won over Robinson 34-18 and Teutopolis bounced Alton Marquette 55-12.

In consolation bracket play, Pana trounced CHBC 55-9 and Robinson won over Alton Marquette 23-15. In the seventh-place contest, CHBC defeated Alton Marquette 47-41. The consolation championship went to Pana over Robinson 54-20.

In winner bracket play, EFfingham downed Altamont 35-27 and T-town edged Ramsey 47-46. In the third place contest, Ramsey beat Altamont 52-38. The championship went to T-town over Effingham 33-27.
