St. Anthony Moves Into Vandalia Tourney Championship Game

The St. Anthony Bulldogs posted their eighth straight win Saturday evening and advanced to the championship game of the Vandalia Holiday Tournament, handing the Altamont Indians their first loss of the season, 64-52.  The game was heard on 979XFM and www.979xfm.com.  

St. Anthony led the game throughout, up 14-9 after one quarter, 33-17 at halftime and 43-30 after three quarters.

John Goeckner led the Bulldogs with 18 points while Alex Hoelscher added 13 points.  Also for the Bulldogs: Connor Greene and Andrew Gardewine eight points each, Derek Rios six, Neil Williams and Zach Gardewine four each, and Matt Gibson three.

Derek Jahraus led Altamont with 12 points.  Also for the Indians: Garrett Ziegler seven, Griffin Jackman, Justin McGinnis, Aaron Goeckner and Jake Seidel six points each, Cole Borders five, and Ryan Armstrong four.

St. Anthony will play at 8pm Monday against the winner of Saturday night's Flora/Pana game.  We'll have the championship game on 979XFM and www.979xfm.com.
