Altamont, Stew-Stras Split Junior High Victories

Altamont claimed the seventh-grade boys basketball game over Stewardson-Strasburg Monday evening, 33-18.

Kuhlman led the winners with 13 points while Hemken added 10. A. Burton led Stew-Stras with nine. Stew-Stras drops to 1-5 in the National Trail Conference, 3-11 overall.

Iin eighth-grade action, Stew-Stras was a 40-34 winner. Kessler tallied 11 and Thies 10 for the winners. Brown scored Altamont with 10. Stew-Stras improves to 6-0 in the conference, 9-2 overall.
