No. 1 Wildcats Rout New Mexico State
(Tucson, AZ) -- Brandon Ashley led a balanced effort with 15 points as top-ranked Arizona cruised to a 74-48 win over New Mexico State at McKale Center. Kaleb Tarczewski tallied 14 points and Rondae Hollis-Jefferson added 12 points and eight rebounds off the bench for the Wildcats, who are 10-0 for the second straight year. U-of-A is at Michigan Saturday.
Ohio State Dumps Bryant
(Columbus, OH) -- Lenzelle Smith Jr. posted 19 points and grabbed eight rebounds as Ohio State smoked Bryant, 86-48, at Value City Arena. The Buckeyes held Bryant to 28-percent shooting and forced 19 turnovers. OSU is 9-0 and faces North Dakota State Saturday.
North Dakota State Upsets Notre Dame
(South Bend, IN) -- North Dakota State pulled off a shocking, 73-69, win against Notre Dame in South Bend. Marshall Bjorklund went off for 26 points for the Bison. Pat Connaughton knocked down five threes on his way to 21 points in the loss. The Fighting Irish fell to 7-3 and look to rebound Saturday in Bloomington against the Hoosiers.
No. 6 Wisconsin Mauls Milwaukee
(Madison, WI) -- Ben Brust led a balanced attack with 18 points as sixth-ranked Wisconsin mauled Milwaukee 78-52 at the Kohl Center. Frank Kaminsky chipped in with 16 points and Sam Dekker donated 12 points and eight rebounds for the Badgers, who are 11-0 for the first time since 1993-94. Wisconsin hosts Eastern Kentucky on Saturday.
Illinois Takes On Oregon Saturday
(Portland, OR) -- Illinois heads to Portland this weekend to take on the Oregon Ducks. The 9-1 Illini are coming off a 72-65 win over Dartmouth at home on Tuesday. Oregon is undefeated this season. Tip-off is at 8 p.m. Saturday at Moda Center.
