CHBC Falls To Okaw Valley in Girls Basketball

BEECHER CITY -- Okaw Valley High School came calling in girls basketball Thursday evening and handed Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City a 45-31 non-conference loss.
Okaw Valley took an 18-8 opening quarter lead and led 29-11 at halftime. Orris tallied 20 and was the lone Okaw Valley player in double figures.
CHBC was led by Ashley Miller with 11. Chandler Ward pulled down 11 rebounds. Jensyn Morrison led in assists with four.

At Strasburg
Shelbyville/Stewardson-Strasburg/Windsor fell to Tuscola 50-29 Thursday evening.
Tuscola held a 22-8 opening half lead then had a 28-21 second half run. Taylor Bosch led the winners with 16 points while Morgan Little chipped in with 12. Lindsay Burton led the host squad with nine points. Shelbyville-Stew-Stras/Windsor drops to 1-4 on the season.
