Lightning Teams Start Basketball Seasons

Meet the Lightning was held recently. The Lightning are made up of third, fourth, fifth and sixth-graders.

Effingham High School basketball coach Ron Reed spoke to the group about basketball in general.  

The Lightning basketball team started the season last weekend in the Mahomet-Seymour Bulldog Tourney. The fourth-graders finished third in their bracket while fifth-graders finished first in their bracket and the sixth-graders finished second in their bracket.

The fourth, fifth and sixth grade Lightning Teams will be headed to the Parkland Shootout this Saturday in Champaign.
