Bulls Down Knicks Late

(Chicago, IL) -- Derrick Rose hit a tough floater in the closing moments of the fourth quarter to lift the Bulls to an 82-81 win over the Knicks at the United Center. Before that shot Rose was 6-for-22, but he still finished with 18 points and six rebounds. Joakim Noah added six points, 15 rebounds and five assists as Chicago bounced back from an opening night loss to the Heat. Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau says Rose didn't let his bad play early get to him.

Carmelo Anthony missed 16-of-24 shots including a jumper that would have been the game winner. Anthony posted 22 points, six rebounds, six assists and six steals for New York, which fell to 1-1. Tyson Chandler tallied seven points, 19 rebounds and four blocks.

"CP3" posted 42 points on 12-of-20 shooting with 15 assists and six steals. Curry hit nine shots from behind the arc en route to 38 points and nine assists, but he also had 11 costly turnovers. Paul says this was a team win.
