Junior High Girls Basketball Roundup -- October 18

Beecher City/Cowden-Herrick split victories with Okaw Valley in junior high school girls basketball action Friday.

BCCH won the seventh-grade contest 21-7. Tabitha Endsley tallied eight and Becca Morgason seven for the winners. BCCH is now 5-2 overall.

In eighth-grade action, Okaw Valley captured a 39-5 win. Jeffers led the winners with 14 points. BCCH drops to 1-6 overall.

Teutopolis picked up two victories over Jasper County Friday evening while Effingham defeated Effingham St. Anthony twice.

T-town won the seventh-grade encounter 26-13. Olivia Niemerg tallied in double figures with 10. T-town improves to 6-2.

In eighth-grade play, T-town edged Jasper County 24-23. Marianna Hemmen scored 14 for the winners. Frohning tallied 10 for Jasper County. T-town evens its record at 4-4.

Effingham beat St. Anthony 27-12 in seventh-grade play. Carsyn Fearday and Abby Weis had 10 points each for the Mustangs. St. Anthony was led by Meg Richards with six.

In eighth-grade action, Effingham won 25-14. Shelby Myers led the Mustangs with 15 points. Olivia Clausius led St. Anthony with six.
