Teutopolis split victories with Mattoon in junior high girls basketball competition Monday evening.

T-town defeated Mattoon 26-22 in seventh-grade play. Savannah Grimes and Emma Deters tallied six points each for the winners.

In the eighth-grade contest, Mattoon won 35-15. Mattoon led 17-13 going into the final quarter then had an 18-2 run.

Both T-town teams are 1-1 on the season.

At Sigel

Stewardson-Strasburg/Windsor picked up the seventh-grade victory 26-23. K. Davis had 10 points. S. Bueker led St. Michael with 18. SS/Windsor is now 4-0 on the season.

In the eighth-grade contest, St. Michael was a 44-17 winner. Schumacher tallied 15 and Bueker 12. Everett led Stew-Stras/Windsor with 14. The squad drops to 0-4.

At Nokomis

Beecher City/Cowden-Herrick fell to Nokomis in both games. BCCH lost the seventh-grade game 31-16. Tabitha Endsley led BCCH with 10 points. BCCH is now 2-1.

In the eighth-grade game, Nokomis was a 39-7 winner. Taylor Oldham scored all seven of BCCH's points. BCCH drops to 1-2 on the season.
