Terps' Wells Files Lawsuit Against Xavier

(College Park, MD) -- Maryland Terrapins basketball player Dez Wells is filing a suit against Xavier. He claims he was wrongfully expelled by the university. Wells was accused of sexual assault by a student during his freshman year at Xavier in 2012. He was never criminally charged after a prosecutor said there was no basis for action, but Wells was dismissed by the school. Wells transfered to Maryland before last season and stepped in as an immediate starter. Xavier has responded to the suit, saying it will defend the process and decision.
