The Wooden Shoes trailed Paris through the first three quarters of their semifinal game before finally giving the fans a thrill in the final quarter.
Paris moved into a 14-9 opening lead as five Tigers scored led by Macy Bicknell with five points and Graci Watson's three-pointer.
T-town moved within 21-20 at halftime as Chloe Probst went on a tear, hitting two three-pointers and finishing with three of four at the line for nine points.
The Tigers shot 53.3 percent in that opening half while T-town could muster only 38.8 percent.
The Tigers came out with a slight 9-7 third quarter as Bicknell hit for five points and Watson struck with another three-pointer. That pushed Paris into a 30-27 lead.
That's when the Shoes magic began.
Down, but not out, Mollie Ruholl, who had scored two baskets in the opening quarter, found the net once again and nailed four baskets and a free throw for nine. C. Probst went to the line and connected on four of four while Kelsey Niemerg and Malea Helmink also added a basket each.
Meanwhile, Paris couldn't do anything offensively as T-town put on a smothering defense. The Tigers did not hit a basket in that final quarter, missing on nine attempts, and only scored three points on three of eight free throws. T-town finished with a 17-3 run.
Coach Laurie Thompson's crew finished with two players in double digits and hitting 42.8 percent from the field and 71.4 percent at the line.
C. Probst connected on four field goals, two of those three-pointers, and seven of eight from the free throw line for 18 points. M. Ruholl hit six of seven from the field and one of two at the line for 13.
Helmink led the Shoes in rebounds with 10 and in steals with three.
Paris had only one player in double figures, Bicknell with 14. The Tigers finished the season with a 24-8 record.
Teutopolis improved to 26-8 and will now face Mount Carmel, a 39-37 winner over Sullivan, in the opening game of the night, at 6:30 p.m. Thursday for the sectional championship. The winner will advance to the Tolono Unity Super-Sectional Monday, March 3 against the winner of the Herscher Sectional, either Kankakee McNamara or Watseka Co-op.
