No. 11 Wisconsin Beats Illinois, 95-74

MADISON, Wis. Illinois fell to No. 11 Wisconsin away from home, 95-74, on Tuesday night.

The loss snapped the Fighting Illini's nine-game winning streak against the Badgers and marked the Orange and Blue's first defeat against Wisconsin in six years. 

Going 6-for-11 from the field for 15 points in the second half, Dra Gibbs-Lawhorn poured in a team-high 17 points for his ninth outing in double figures this season. The Illini sophomore tallied three of his four rebounds on the offensive glass while also amassing a career-best five assists and a block.

After leading the team in scoring in the first half, Ben Humrichous finished with 13 points while shooting 3-for-6 from beyond the arc. He also logged four rebounds, two assists, a block, and a steal.

Will Riley recorded 11 points, his seventh-straight game with double-digit points, while also totaling three rebounds, three assists, a block, and a steal. Tre White added seven points, five rebounds, and a block in his return to the starting lineup.

Illinois will briefly pause its Big Ten schedule for a neutral-site non-conference matchup against No. 3 Duke on Saturday. The SentinelOne Classic between the Fighting Illini and the Blue Devils is slated for 7 p.m. CT at Madison Square Garden in New York City, while the game will air nationally on FOX.
