Neoga, Dieterich, N. Clay, C'land Win Girls Opening Round Regional Games

Neoga opened its own regional by downing Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City, 57-40.
The Indians held an 11-9 opening quarter lead then pushed that to 26-17 at halftime.
The Indians were led by Brynn Richards with eight field goals and five of six at the line for 21 points. Atalie Osborn added 18 on five field goals and six of six at the line.
Neoga improved to 13-18 on the season and will now face top-seeded Effingham St. Anthony today in the second round at 6 p.m.
Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City was led by Macee Rodman with 19 points on five field goals and eight of eight at the line.
In the second game, Dieterich was a 50-26 winner over Red Hill (Bridgeport).
The Maroons held a 14-6 opening quarter lead then held Red Hill scoreless in the second quarter while racking up a 20-0 quarter and leading 34-6 at halftime.
Two players hit double figures for the Maroons. Addison Miller led the way with 11 points on five field goals, one a three-pointer. Kady Tegeler chipped in with 10 on three field goals and four of four at the line.
Miller led in rebounds with nine and steals with three. Tegeler also had three steals.
Dieterich, seeded fifth, advances to meet fourth-seeded Altamont at 7:30 p.m. today.

Class 1A South Central Regional
In the opening game of the regional, North Clay (Louisville) downed Ramsey, 51-25.
In the second contest, Mount Olive ended South Central's season with a 56-46 win.
North Clay advances to face second-seeded Glen Carbon Father McGivney at 6 p.m. today while Mount Olive will square off against No. 3 Brownstown/St. Elmo at 7:30.
The winners advance to the championship game Thursday at 6 p.m.
Class 1A Decatur St. Teresa Regional
Argenta-Oreana claimed the opening victory in the Decatur St. Teresa Regional.
Argenta-Oreana was a 42-35 winner over Decatur Unity Christian.
In the second game, Moweaqua Central A&M downed Cerro Gordo 50-15.
Tonight's games feature No. 2 Decartur St. Teresa against Argenta-Oreana at 6 p.m. followed by No. 3 Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg against Moweaqua Central A&M at 7:30.
The winners advance to the championshp game Thursday at 6:30 p.m.
Class 2A Palestine Regional
Cumberland opened the Palestine Regional with a 66-32 victory over Marshall Saturday.
The Pirates ran out to a 23-4 opening quarter lead and led 44-11 at halftime.
Jude Miller led the way with 11 field goals, four of those three-pointers, and three free throws for 29 points. Jade Carr also tallied in double figures with 13 points on four field goals, three from three-point range, and two free throws.
In the second contest, Robinson was a 56-23 winner over Oblong/Palestine/Hutsonville.
Cumberland, seeded ninth, will now face No. 2 seeded Teutopolis at 6 p.m Tuesday.
Robinson, seeded sixth, will face No. 3 seeded Newton at 7:30 p.m.
The winners advance to the championship contest at 6 p.m. Friday at 6 p.m.
