The Eagles broke that tie with a 12-9 third quarter and then held off Lincolnwood for a 48-46 non-conference victory.
Two players scored in double figures for the winners. Graiden Wilhour connected on six field goals, three of those from beyond the arc, and was one of two at the line for 16. Benji Lowe finished with 10 and Lowell Wilhour added nine.
L. Wilhour led in assists with six, rebounds with six and had one block. Lowe also had one block. Jayden Hughett also had six rebounds and had two steals. G. Wilhour added two steals.
St. Elmo/Brownstown is now 12-13 on the season and returns to action today at Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg.

At Neoga
Altamont broke a 5-5 opening quarter tie with a 13-5 run and went on for a 45-34 victory over Neoga as two National Trail Conference teams met Tuesday evening.
Kade Milleville connected on six points in the second quarter run while Cooper Pals hit a three-pointer.
Altamont led 27-20 going into the final quarter as Neoga came back with a 10-9 edge in the third period. Luke Keller put in two three-pointers and Brayden Ray scored two baskets.
The Indians came back with an 18-14 final period for the 11 point winning margin.
Milleville was the lone player for Altamont in double figures with 15. He hit four baskets, two from three-point range, and was five of six at the line. Ben Roedl and Cooper McManaway finished with nine each. The Indians improved to 4-1 in the National Trail Conference and 14-11 overall. They return to action Friday at St. Elmo/Brownstown.
Neoga was led by Keller with 13 points on four field goals, three of those three-pointers, and two of two at the line.
In junior varsity action, Altamont claimed a 62-29 win. The Indians were led by Jacob Johnson with 12, Parker Bell with 11 and Cooper Pals with 10.
Neoga was led by Cayden Hakman with nine and Ayden White with eight.

At Casey
Teutopolis and Casey-Westfield stood tied at 11-11 after the opening quarter, but the Shoes moved into a 25-17 halftime lead and went on for a 47-33 victory Tuesday evening.
Landyn Thoele put together seven of the 14 points in the second quarter for the Shoes. Alex Kremer came through with five in the third quarter 11-10 edge.
Drew Hoene helped the Shoes finish with an 11-6 final quarter as he hit two baskets and three of five at the line for seven points while Kremer added the other four points.
Hoene led the way for the Shoes with 13 points on four field goals and five of seven at the line. Also in double figures was Kremer with 11.
The Warriors were led by Parcel with 27 points on 11 field goals, three from beyond the arc, and two of two at the line.

Cumberland edged out to a 10-9 opening quarter lead and went on to beat Sullivan by a 44-34 tally Tuesday evening.
The Pirates held a 23-15 halftime lead. Both teams scored eight in the third quarter before Cumberland had a 13-11 final period
Only one player finished in double figures for the Pirates. Cameron Roedl led with three field goals, one a three-pointer, and was three of six at the line for 10.

Newton broke a 6-6 opening quarter tie with a 19-8 second period and went on for a 49-35 victory over Oblong/Palestine/Hutsonville Tuesday evening.
The Eagles had a 16-7 third quarter to lead 41-21.
Kody Bergbower led the way for Newton with eight field goals, two of those three-pointers, for 18. Hayden Mulvey chipped in with 13.
Bergbower also led in rebounds with nine while Quincy Fulton pulled down eight.
Newton is now 8-16 on the season and returns to action Friday at Olney.

Dieterich High School pounded Martinsville by a 72-38 tally Tuesday evening.
The Maroons had a 9-0 opening quarter lead as Lucas Westendorf scored two baskets and was two of two at the line for six points. Jaxon Funneman added the other three points.
Dieterich then went on a 26-13 second quarter tear as Tanner Will hit four baskets that included two three-pointers, for 10 points while Landen Keck hit for seven points and Funneman added five more.
Then it was Brock Niemerg who tallied two baskets and was four of four at the line for eight points while Westendorf and Will added seven more.
Will led the way for Dieterich with 17 points on seven field goals, three of those beyond the arc. Westendorf finished with 15 points while Keck added 13 and B. Niemerg tallied 11.
