St. Anthony, T-town, N. Clay Win In Girls Basketball

The Bulldogs had nine players score in the contest with two in double figures. Nancy Ruholl, tallied 24 points on eight field goals, four from beyond the arc, and four of eight at the line. She scored eight in the opening quarter and nine in the third period. The junior is seven points away from being the Bulldogs all-time leading scorer. The record currently is 1,634 points held by Lucy Fearday.
Ruholl is also just 38 points away from being the school's all-time leading scorer for both girls and boys. The record is held by Mike Wente, from the class of 1970.
The Bulldogs held a 21-6 opening quarter lead as Ruholl scored eght and Addi Lauritzen seven.
The lead went to 42-11 at halftime. Ruholl added six in the quarter.
Also finishing in double figures was Lauritzen with 17 on eight field goals and one free throw. Lauritzen added 11 rebounds and three steals.
Lilly Gannawya scored eight points, had seven rebounds, three assists and three steals.
In the junior varsity contest, St. Anthony won 42-24.
Aubrey Denning led with 13 while Jackie Vonderheide and Katie Kollman scored 12 each for the Bulldogs.

At Champaign
Teutopolis and Bloomington Central Catholic met in a game played at Parkland College Saturday.
The Wooden Shoes took the first quarter lead and claimed a 59-46 victory.
The Shoes led 19-13 in the opening quarter as Chloe Probst scored eight points on a regular basket and two three-pointers. Malea Helmink chipped in with six.
The lead stood at 33-21 at halftime. C. Probst continued her hot scoring with two regular baskets, a three-pointer and two of two at the line for nine.
T-town then had a slight 26-25 second half. The Wooden Shoes finished with 21 of 26 at the line.
C. Probst finished with 24 points on seven field goals, three from beyond the arc, and seven of eight at the line. Kelsey Niemerg added 13 points on two field goals and nine of 10 at the line. Hlemink was on the brink of double figures with nine.
Helmink led in rebounds with eight while C. Probst had five. Mollie Ruholl and Niemerg had two steals each. Ruholl led in assists with two.

Cumberland fell to Robinson in a Saturday contest, 58-32.
Robinson edged out to a 9-7 opening quarter lead and held a two-point lead at hafltime, 25-23.
But The Maroons went on a 24-4 third quarter run and finished with a 10-6 final period.
Alysa Dittamore led the Pirates with 15 points on seven field goals and one free throw.
