St. Anthony Claims Regular Season Girls Conference

St, Anthony finshed out regular season NTC play going 8-0 in the conference by defeating Brownstown/St. Elmo 67-35 earning the regular season title to go along with the tournament championship earned by defeating Browmstown/St. Elmo just less than a couple of weeks ago.
Brownstown/St.Elmo ended the NTC regular season with a 7-1 record for second place in the conferece standings.
Nancy Ruholl scored 15 of her game high 29 points in the first quarter as the Bulldogs built a 21-10 lead after one quarter. St. Anthony contiued to push advantage in the second quarter as Lilly Gannaway put in eight of her 13 points as St. Anthony had a 38-21 lead at haftime.
The second half played out much like the first as Ady Rios became the third double figure scorer for the Bulldogs as she had 10 points in the second half and finished with 14. Addie Lauritzen put up seven points. Addi Nuxoll and Ali Kollman each added two points in the St. Anthony win.
Dayanna Haslett led the Bombers with 13 and Madi Miller was also in double figures with 10 points. Addie Sasse and Presley Williams rounded out the scoring wih six apiece.
St. Anthony shot well from the field at 45.5%, but were outstanding from three point range at 72.7% going 8 for 11. They were also 9 of 16 from the free throw line.
Brownstown/St. Elmo was 31.7% from the floor, 6 of 13 for 46.1% from the charity stripe and 3 of 14 for 21.4% from beyond the arc.
The Bulldogs had a 32-24 rebounding advantage and the swarming St. Anthony zone defense forced the Bombers into 23 turnovers comepared to 12 in the game for St. Anthony.
With the win St. Anonthy improved to 22-4 on the season while Brownstown/St. Elmo slips to 24-5.
