St. Anthony Wins, EHS, T-town Girls Drop Losses

Junior Nancy Ruholl led the Bulldogs with 23 points. She connected on five baskets in the opening quarter, one from three-point range, and was two of two at the line for 13 points. She came back in the third quarter to hit two more three-pointers and two regular baskets for 10. Ruholl finished with nine field goals, three from beyond the arc, and two of two at the line.
Also in double figures were Adyson Rios with 14, Addi Nuxoll with 13 and Addi Lauritzen with 10.
The Bulldogs held a 26-11 opening quarter lead and led 46-15 at halftime.
Ruholl also finished with seven rebounds, three assists and four steals. Rios had six rebounds, two assists and three steals. Nuxoll finished with six rebounds and three blocks. Lauritzen had seven boards, three assists and five steals. Lilly Gannaway had seven rebounds, four assists and three steals.
In the junior varsity contest, St. Anthony was a 37-25 winner. Ali Kollman led with 15 points while Jackie Vonderheide added eight and Aubrey Denning seven.
St. Anthony is back in action tonight traveling to North Clay (Louisville) in National Trail Conference action.

At Mahomet
Mahomet-Seymour claimed an Apollo Conference win over Effingham in Saturday competition, 68-61 in overtime.
The Hearts trailed 19-15 after the opening quarter but kept close on four baskets by Averie Wolf that included one three-pointer. Bria Beals added a three.
EHS moved into a 32-29 halftime lead behind nine points on three from beyond the arc by Beals.
But Mahomet-Seymour came back with a 16-11 third quarter run to lead 45-43. The Hearts then went on a 13-11 final quarter edge to tie the score, sending the contest into overtime.
In the overtime period, the Bulldogs put the game under the win column with a 12-5 run.
Effingham had four players hit double figures. Wolfe led the way with seven field gaols, one a three-pointer, for 15. Alyssa Martin and Beals finished with 13 each and Sidney Donaldson added 10.
Mahomet-Seymour finished with 14 three-pointers in the contest led by R. Galler with four and Waldinger with three.

At Breese
Breese Central claimed a 57-30 win over Teutopolis in Saturday competition.
The Wooden Shoes held a 12-10 opening quarter lead as Kelsey Niemerg and Chloe Probst scored five each. Niemerg hit two regular baskets and a free throw while Probst connected on two baskets, one a three-pointer.
But Central took off with a 22-7 second quarter and led 32-19 at halftime. Central continued on with a 16-4 third quarter and finished strong for the victory.
Trame led the way with 15 while Burber added 10 for Central.
T-town didn't have a player in double figures. C. Probst and Molly Ruholl tallied eight each.
