Dieterich, CHBC To Play For Consy Title At NTC Girls Tourney

Dieterich handed North Clay (Louisville) a 47-23 loss in the opening contest.
The Maroons held a 14-7 opening quarter lead and led 26-10 at halftime.
Dieterich had the game well in hand with a 21-13 second half.
Addison Miller led the way with 15 points on six field goals, three from beyond the arc.
North Clay was led by Violet Price with six points on two field goals and one free throw. She hit a regular basket and a three-pointer.
In the second contest, CHBC downed Neoga 59-42.
The Bobcats moved into an 11-8 opening quarter lead and pushed that to 25-16 at halftime.
CHBC controlled the scoring in the third period with an 18-10 run.
Macee Rodman was the story in this contest. She hit 12 field goals, three of those three-pointers, and was five of seven at the line for 32 points. Also in double digits was Lena Bowlin with 12.
Neoga was led by Brynn Richards with 23 on four two-pointers, a three-pointer and 12 of 16 at the line. Atalie Osborn contributed eight.
Dieterich and CHBC advance to the consolation championship game scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday. North Clay and Neoga will meet at 11:30 a.m. for seventh place.
In tonight's games in winner bracket play, St. Anthony and Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg meet at 6 p.m. followed by Altamont and Brownstown/St. Elmo at 7:30. The winners of these two games will meet for the championship Saturday at 7:30 p.m. while the losers will play for third place at 2:30.
