EHS Girls Claim Victory At Vandalia Tourney (Updated)

The Hearts ran out to a 17-8 opening quarter lead as six players scored.
The lead went to 37-11 at halftime. Sidney Donaldson hit two baskets and three free throws for seven. Tessa Raddatz put in a three-pointer.
The Hearts went on with an 18-7 third period and put the game in the win column.
Donaldson hit six field goals and three of four from the free throw line for 15 points. Alyssa Martin added 10 points and Bria Beals finished with nine.
Greenville was led by Emam Veith with eight points.
The Hearts (16-5) return to action Thursday and will take on Salem at 7:30 p.m. The Wildcats beat Vandalia, 44-20.
In other games, Mascoutah won over Wesclin 36-21 and Hillsboro downed Mattoon 49-20.
Wesclin and Mattoon meet Wednesday at 6 p.m. followed by Hillsboro against Mascoutah at 7:30.
