Boys 89th Annual National Trail Conference Tournament Pairings Released

Pairings were released for the 89th Annual National Trail Conference Boys Basketball Tournament.

Drawing the No. 1 seed was Effingham St. Anthony followed by Dieterich, Altamont, North Clay, Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg, South Central, St. Elmo/Brownstown, Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City and Neoga.

The event begins Monday, January 27 with a play-in game that features Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City against Neoga at 6:15 p.m.

Other opening round games Tuesday include St. Anthony against the winner of the first game at 6:15 p.m. followed by North Clay taking on Windsor/Stew-Stras at 8. Wednesday's games are Dieterich against St. Elmo/Brownstown at 6:15 followed by Altamont facing South Central around 8.

The tournament continues Thursday and Friday and will end Saturday with the seventh place game at 11:30 a.m., the consolation championship at around 1. The third place contest is scheduled next and the championshp will be held at 7:30 p.m.

Black chair reserved admission is $7 per session or all sessions for $49. Student bleachers Monday through Saturday afternoon are $2 and adult bleachers Monday through Saturday afternoons are $5. All bleachers for Saturday night championship game is $5.

Game 4 -- Dieterich vs. St. Elmo/Brownstown, 6:15 p.m.

Game 5 -- Altamont vs. South Central, 8 p.m.

Thursday, Jan. 30

Game 6 -- Loser Game 1 vs. Loser Game 4, 5 p.m.

Game 7 -- Loser Game 2 vs. Loser Game 3, 6:15 p.m.

Game 8 -- Winner Game 2 vs. Winner Game 3, 8 p.m.

Friday, Jan. 31

Game 9 -- Winner Game 6 vs. Loser Game 5, 6:15 p.m.

Game 10 -- Winner Game 4 vs. Winner Game 5, 8 p.m.

Saturday, Feb. 1

Game 11 -- Loser Game 7 vs. Loser Game 9, 11:30 a.m. (seventh place)

Game 12 -- Winner Game 7 vs. Winner Game 9, 1 p.m. (consolation championship)
