The Bulldogs took a 16-11 opening quarter lead but Mater Dei came back with a 13-9 second period to pull withn 25-24.
St. Anthony then had a 20-15 second half for the victory.
Ryan Schmidt tallied 16 points to lead St. Anthony with four field goals, three of those from beyond the arc, and five of seven at the line. Also in double figures was Brock Fearday with 10.
Breese Mater Dei claimed the junior varsity game, 58-40. St. Anthony was led by Miles Waldhoff with 10 points.

At Altamont
Two National Trail Conference teams met as Altamont traveled to North Clay Friday evening.
Altamont claimed the 74-62 victory. The score was tied at 32-32 at halftime before Altamont went on a 23-14 third period run behind Cooper McManaway's nine points and two three-pointers from Alex Walker.
Altamont finished out strong with a 19-1 final quarter as McManaway continued on with eight points and Kade Milleville chipepd in with five.
McManaway hit 12 field goals, one from three-point range, and one of one at the line for 26 points. Milleville tallied 13, Walker 12 on four three-pointers and Ben Roedl 10.
North Clay was led by Carder Walden with 23 on nine field goals, three of those from beyond the arc, and two of two at the line. Cody Zimdars was just a point behind with 22 on nine field goals, one of those a three-pointer, and three of five at the line.
In junior varsity play, Altamont won 61-43. Jacob Johnson was the lone player for Altamont in double figures with 18.
North Clay was led by Lucas Griffy with 29.

Cumberland easily handled Blue Ridge to the tune of 59-28 Friday evening.
The Pirates trailed Blue Ridge 10-9 after the opening quarter and 17-11 at halftime.
But after halftime, Cumberland got in gear with a 19-7 third period and a 29-5 final quarter.
Cameron Roedl went on a second half tear. After only connecting on one basket in the first half, Roedl hit two three-pointers and three regular field goals for 12 points in the third period and 11 in the final quarter to finish with 25. He ended with 10 field goals, four of those from beyond the arc, and one of two at the line.

Dieterich outlasted South Central in a National Trail Conference matchup Friday evening.
The Maroons took a 10-6 opening qarter lead and led 17-13 at halftime. Landen Keck hit for six points in the opening quarter for the Maroons.
The Cougars came back with a 12-6 third period run as Brody Markley scored seven of his team's 12 points, and held a 25-23 lead.
But Dieterich rallied and finished with an 11-5 final quarter, hitting seven of 10 at the line to claim the 34-30 victory.
Keck hit four field goals and five of six at the line for 14 points. Lucas Westendorf tallied 11.
South Central was led by Seth Bergmann with four field goals, one from three-point range, and one of three at the line for 10.

Neoga trailed Martinsville after the opening quarter and 24-18 at halftime.
The Indians pulled within 34-32 going into the final period then went on a 20-9 run to pull out a 52-43 non-conference victory Friday evening.
The Indians hit their free throws in that final quarter as Landon Titus connected on six of 10 at the line while Cayden Hakman hit four of six. Luke Keller put in a three-pointer and a regular basket for five and Grady Haarmann connected on a three-pointer.
The Indians were led by Hakman with three trifectas and four of six at the line for 13 and Titus with two three-pointers and seven of 12 at the line, also for 13.

Patoka/Odin held a 12-9 opening quarter lead but SEB came back with a 15-11 second period to lead by one at halftime.
The Eagles then had a 16-14 third period.
Lowell Wilhour led the way with 22 points on five field goals, four from three-point range, and eight of 10 at the line. Graiden Wilhour added 17 points and led in steals with four. Gavin Sanders led in rebounds with five.

Teutopolis edged Tuscola by a 32-31 count during Friday evening action.
Tuscola edged ahead 11-10 in the opening quarter but the Wooden Shoes came back with a 10-7 second period to lead 20-18 at halftime.
Tuscola came roaring back with an 11-5 third period run to lead 29-25. But the Wooden Shoes had a 7-2 final period to pull out the victory.
Henry Thompson connected on a three-pointer in the final quarter while Landyn Thoele and Drew Hoene scored a basket each.
Thompson led with nine points on three trifectas.
T-town pounded Tuscola in the junior varsity contest, 3-2. Jake Kocher led in scoring with 13 while Gavin Buening added 11.

Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg ran out to a 25-6 opening quarter lead on Ramsey and went on for a 74-31 victory Friday evening.
The Hatchets held a 40-17 halftime lead.
Ten players scored in the contest led by Rylan Rincker with 19 on eight field goals and threeo f three at the line. Aiden Sayers added 18 on eight field goals, one a three-pointer and one of one at the line.
Windsor/Stew-Stras improved to 11-8 on the season and will be back in action today, playing host to Neoga and then travel to North Clay (Lousiville) Tuesday.
In the junior varsity contest, Windsor/Stew-Stras won 64-6.

Lawrenceville ran out to a 14-4 opening quarter lead and led by that same count, 27-17 at halftime. The two teams played to a 21-21 second half.
Kody Bergbower led Newton with 13 points on five field goals, one a three-pointer and two of two at the line. He also led in rebounds with eight. Hayden Mulvey chipped in with 10 points.
Newton dropped to 5-12 on the season and is back in action Tuesday at Mount Carmel.
