Dieterich moved into an 11-9 opening quarter lead behind Lucas Westendorf's seven points.
Edwardsville came back with a 9-7 second quarter run to tie the score at 18-18 at halftime.
Westendorf tallied five of his team's seven points in the second period.
But Edwardsville had a 20-15 third period run behind two three-pointers by Bryce Pryor and a three-pointer, two-pointer and free throw, also for six points, from Miccah Butler.
The Tigers then had a 9-6 final period for the winning margin.
Dieterich's Westendorf was the lone player for the Maroons in double figures with 16. He connected on six field goals, two from three-point range. and two of three at the line. Next up was Landen Keck with seven points.
Edwardsville was led by Pryor with 16, Butler with 12 ane Iose Epenesa with 10.
